MASONRY WORK

Our Masonry Work

Masonry is a timeless work that adds to the value and beauty of any home, but like all works of art, it takes some upkeep. Our experts have 28 years of experience repairing interior and exterior masonry, so you can rest easy knowing your home is in good hands.

Tuckpointing

Tuckpointing is an important element in preserving the integrity of your chimney. Even though bricks may last for hundreds of years, the lifespan of the mortar that holds them together is much smaller. Damaged mortar may allow water to enter into the chimney system, causing mildew, mold, and wood rot. We’ll remove the damaged mortar and replace it with fresh mortar that matches your existing exterior.

Waterproofing

Waterproofing is the only way to prevent water damage in your home’s interior and exterior through your chimney. Our chimney professionals will asses the masonry on your chimney and determine the right product for the materials.

Flashing

If you’ve noticed leaks around your chimney or damage to your drywall, there may be a leak in your flashing. Flashing is used to keep rain and snow from melting into the crevices where the masonry meets the roof. These are sealed with mortar or caulk, which erodes over time with exposure to the elements. We’ll remove the old caulk or mortar and replace it with new material to reduce the risk of leaks.

Chimney Cap Installation & Replacement

An extremely cost-effective way to avoid damage to your chimney, chimney caps are usually made of stainless steel or copper. They are affixed to the top of your chimney to prevent debris and water getting in, as well as keeping fiery sparks from your fire out.

Chimney Rebuilding

Sometimes the only option is to completely rebuild your chimney to keep it from further damaging your home. Exposure to the elements can cause erosion and deterioration of your chimney’s exterior and compromise its structural integrity. Whether it’s a historical restoration or a beloved household friend, our chimney experts have the knowledge and expertise to rebuild your chimney so you can continue to use it for years to come.
